Bespoke Spotlight ~ Jenna's Signet Ring

I LOVED making this custom signet ring for Jenna. I’ll be honest - it took a while to make! But this was because we wanted to make sure everything was perfect and try out some different designs.

The original design idea Jenna came to me with was a small rectangular ring with a bee and thistle design. I started with some composition sketches and made samples building up the pattern in wax. This however didn’t capture the small designs we were looking for and Jenna preferred a more sketchy look. I sketched the final design on paper, traced and perfected it on my ipad for laser engraving.

The base shape of the signet I hand carved from wax which was then cast in solid platinum. Before having the design engraved on I had to polish the surface of the ring to an even and high shine. A flush set diamond finished it off!
